Overview
Toilyq sells ready-made sets for Kazakh wedding ceremonies: құдалық, беташар, шашу, кит салу, сырға салу. A buyer here rarely knows the exact product name — they know which ceremony is coming and search by that.
Challenge
The product is tied to a ceremony rather than to a category in the usual sense. Add seasonality, an emotional purchase, and an audience that largely speaks and searches in Kazakh.
- Navigation had to be built around ceremonies, not abstract categories
- Buyers want to see what a set actually looks like before ordering
- Kazakh is the audience’s main language, Russian the second
- A lot of organic traffic from queries like “беташар жинағы”
Solution
We built the catalogue around ceremonies, added a gallery of real work and a blog that answers “what is in the set” — the exact question people arrive with from search. The site is bilingual with separate URLs.
- Set catalogue with price filtering and sorting
- A gallery of real work grouped by set type
- A blog with an article per ceremony — the base of organic traffic
- Bilingual sections: /kk and /ru with independent addresses
- Cart, delivery across Kazakhstan and payment on the site
