How much does a mobile app cost in Kazakhstan in 2026
Mobile app cost in Kazakhstan: an iOS and Android MVP from ₸950,000 (about $2,110) in 10+ weeks. Price drivers, React Native vs native, PWA and store fees.
A mobile app for iOS and Android in Kazakhstan costs from ₸950,000 (about $2,110) for a first version (MVP) and takes from 10 weeks. That is BAGYT’s price for a React Native app: one codebase for both platforms, with App Store and Google Play publishing included. If you already have a website or a service with an API, an app on top of it starts at ₸650,000 (about $1,440) and takes 6–9 weeks.
Prices and timelines
| What | Price | Timeline |
|---|---|---|
| App MVP for iOS and Android | from ₸950,000 (about $2,110) | from 10 weeks |
| App for an existing service | from ₸650,000 (about $1,440) | 6–9 weeks |
| App Store and Google Play publishing | included | 1–2 weeks |
| Support and updates | from ₸70,000 (about $160) a month | ongoing |
| Discovery and prototype | from ₸190,000 (about $420) | 1–2 weeks |
| App design only | from ₸360,000 (about $800) | 4–6 weeks |
“From” prices cover the minimum scope: one core scenario and no complex integrations. We fix the estimate and timeline in writing before work starts, payment goes by stages, and the code and all access are registered to you.
What drives the price
An app is rarely just screens on a phone. Behind it there is usually a server, a database and an admin panel, and for an app that handles orders or bookings the backend is often half of the budget. That is why two apps with similar screens can differ in price several times over. Other cost drivers:
- Payments — a payment gateway, statuses, refunds and store rules. One integration starts at ₸160,000 (about $360).
- CRM, delivery, messengers, accounting systems — each integration is priced separately; a sync with an accounting system such as 1C starts at ₸280,000 (about $620).
- Your own API and admin panel — from ₸360,000 (about $800) and from ₸480,000 (about $1,070) respectively.
- Chat, maps, offline mode — priced per scenario. A client-to-manager chat and a messenger with groups and files are different projects.
React Native or native
Native development means two separate apps: Swift for iPhone and Kotlin for Android, two codebases and roughly twice the client-side work. React Native builds both apps from one TypeScript codebase and adds native modules where the product needs them. We build in React Native, and that is the main reason our mobile projects cost less than a native pair.
Native makes sense when the product depends on platform specifics: heavy graphics, AR, deep hardware access. For delivery, booking, customer accounts or workout programmes, users will not notice the difference, but your budget will. For an example of a mobile product built around one daily scenario, see the Fatburn Mania case, an iOS home workout app.
When a PWA is enough
A PWA is a web app that installs on the home screen like an icon. It shares a codebase with your website, skips store review and updates for everyone at once, so it is almost always cheaper than an app: a browser-based account or panel starts at ₸480,000 (about $1,070), and a first web product version at ₸750,000 (about $1,670).
A PWA works for internal tools, for services customers open once a week or less, and for testing demand before investing in an app. The trade-offs: it does not appear in store search; on iPhone, web push only works after the user adds the app to the Home Screen (iOS 16.4 and later); and some device features, such as Health data, are not available from the browser.
What Apple and Google charge
These fees are not part of the development cost: the developer account owner — you — pays them. Figures are from Apple’s and Google’s official pages as of 20 October 2026.
| App Store | Google Play | |
|---|---|---|
| Developer account | $99 a year | $25 one-time |
| Commission on paid apps and in-app purchases | 15% under the App Store Small Business Program (up to $1M in annual proceeds), otherwise the standard 30% | 15% on the first $1M a year, 30% above that; subscriptions 15% |
| Physical goods and services | Paid by card or Apple Pay, not in-app purchase — no store commission | Google Play billing is not used — no store commission |
Two more things affect launch timing. An organisation enrolling with Apple needs a D-U-N-S number and a working website on its own domain, so start early. A new personal Google Play account must run a closed test with at least 12 testers for 14 days in a row before the app goes public. Store rules change, so we check the current terms before every release.
Summary
- An iOS and Android MVP at BAGYT starts at ₸950,000 and takes from 10 weeks.
- An app for an existing service starts at ₸650,000 and takes 6–9 weeks.
- Store publishing is included; support starts at ₸70,000 a month.
- The backend, payments, chat, maps and offline mode add the most cost.
- If customers visit rarely, start with a PWA or a web account.
